Wahnsinn.
And it is trotzdem immer wieder das Gleiche.
And gegen Hagen, gegen einen Aufsteiger, 107 kassieren.
It's a lot of mismatch hunting, wood eher sagst, das würdest du andersrum erwarten, dass Fei gegen Uhlemann irgendwas macht. They have all really tolly speech. Haut erstmal zwei, drei rein, where du sagst, there is überhaupt kein If, this is so forth go. It's a krass from Hagen. With how viel energy and her freedom and positivity they have seen the Spieler, yeah, that überträgt sich.
Hast du da schon was entdeckt?
SPEAKER_04Am Anfang der Saison habe ich mich drauf, aber mal so geguckt, and I had this big men, weil du hast drei excellente Big Men, Mishito, Traore and Ratai, die auch toll spielen können, was sie gegen Ludwigsburg and phasenweise gegen Würzburg gezeigt haben, or gegen Salahibo. Ende.
Fabi Black konnte nicht spielen, had sich to Armad of the Anthony Colite, the first one after two and a half years there. They saw not optimal aus. With you remaining and why it's trotzdem function.
SPEAKER_03Come back and home fire, and had a douche, and had always muscular problems. This we went from the show, and we wanted we must have the entire rotation and with polite and comeback for. Ferbi is a diabetic and then his work. And that had two minutes from the show. The words are shy, I can't do it. And I have loud. What did we do? We have a seven and seven rotation. But many is so free. The young free off, failure and keep failure, and they wanna say that the verantworting is there on their shoulder and comes kind of from the bank that then that we can.
SPEAKER_05Some players were aggressive, gambling for steals maybe, but but then over aggressive. So is that that middle level or that middle ground the right level of aggressiveness that maybe missing at the moment a bit?
SPEAKER_01We're talking about two different things, I think. Um toughness, you know, the the there's a rebound right in front, right in front, and you gotta go get it. Uh we're in a switch, and maybe they have uh they have a rebounding position, and we can go get the rebound from behind or loose balls down on the floor. Um if we do go for it, we fumble it around, we don't grab the basketball. These are the type of plays uh that I'm talking about. Uh you're talking about basketball IQ plays. We we we um we gamble, we don't get the ball, we compromise, and then they have an advantage situation. Uh we play pretty good defense. Uh Gibson gets in the key and we start jumping around, and he just steps through and dumps one off to Krottwig or makes one himself. This is this is uh balance, this is consistency, um, this is something that we talk about, that we show on video, and then the execution obviously has to come from the players. And when it doesn't, then you're thinking, okay, this is IQ, uh focus, these these sorts of things. And this is what's this is what's missing. Our players, our players are talented, we can win games, we've showed that. Um but the consistency to be on balance, to execute, that that's missing. And um this is something that that's gonna need to improve as the season goes on.
SPEAKER_05In the early games, I felt like there were a number of stretches where the team looked pretty impressive defensively. Now you've had basically four games with a hundred or more points scored by the opponent. Is that I I don't know what what went missing from from from the early games.
SPEAKER_01Um, again, I mean you gotta give credit to Hagen. Like you I can't take something away from them. They they go to some one-on-one situations, the shot clocks run out, uh the their guards shoot threes in our face and make and swish them, nothing but net. Um the the the the plays that I'm disappointed about are when we jump and we get off balance and we and we're not um we're not disciplined, okay. If we if we play good defense and they make a shot in our face, this is something that we can live with. Um but but the but the gambles that you talked about, the offensive rebounds, um you know, deciding who's a shooter, who's a non-shooter, how much we uh on our extra help, how much we stunt and and and we get out before with and we try to steal the ball instead of uh stunting and then going back to our guy. Like these are all basketball tactics. And it uh it's things that we work on all the time. It's gotta be executed in practice and taken into the games. And so and I think our players know that. If they think they can do it their own way, then they're gonna find out with results like we have today.
SPEAKER_05Maybe that's too easy, but in the past there were players like Simon or um Weidemann or Yallo um who felt like defensive leaders in a way. Is is that maybe a bit missing, that spark, or is that overestimating how much one player can Yeah?
SPEAKER_01I mean, a couple of those guys you mentioned were dogs. Kareem Yallo was a effing dog. That guy was a dog. And uh we don't have that on this team at the moment. I hop I and I'm not talking when I say that, I'm not talking about like us hitting people. I'm just saying us playing physical basketball, being really disciplined, making a play one-on-one, being in the right help, talking and communicating. And uh at the moment we kind of play like kids, like without experience, and and we have it, we have experience. I mean, it's not that we don't have experience. We have guys who have experience that aren't playing up to the standard. So um, and I'm the coach, so I'm the leader of that, and I take responsibility. But I I feel very disappointed with our defensive effort the last game.
SPEAKER_02That's that's fun postcamp podcast.
